PATRIA ENERGÉTICA, La Loma and the Cesar Mining Corridor have the opportunity to become a unique benchmark to develop a Just Transition project for the coal industry, benefiting local communities and the environment.

Our environmental efforts are aimed at the preservation and sustainable use of natural resources, while we do responsible mining.

Around our mining operations, we have rehabilitated more than 400 hectares. Additionally, our forestry compensation plan will be implemented in our area of direct influence, supporting local communities and ecosystems, with proposals of sustainable use projects, restoration and conservation activities. These are in turn configured as carbon collectors and biological corridors, connecting ecosystems of high value for the country such as the Serranía del Perijá with the RAMSAR area of la Ciénaga de Zapatosa.
